Have done that with Gigastudio and Logic. I am assuming once I get the VSL Special edition, I will be able to notate a score, let Sibelius trigger the correct articulations, dynamics, etc, and send the audio through ADAT into PT by way of hardware synchronizers. Others have remarked that PT and Siblius can be "re-wired" - maybe someone else has had success with that. If a file is exported to MIDI, and subsequently imported into PT, some of the subtleties in the notation are lost. The issue seems to be that Sibelius expects what it calls a "soundset." These are available for VSL Special Edition, etc., but Kontakt would require manually assigning sounds and articulations, which looks to be very time intensive.

On the other hand, PT10 can load Kontakt as a software instrument and play back the sounds - and even change articulations - within a track. I have Kontakt, and the first thing I noticed was there appeared to be no easy way to have Sibelius link directly with the Kontakt sounds. I'm a bit stuck on getting closer to the problem or fixing it. I think the cause of the error to one of the chained MSI's wrapped into install_sibelius.exe. I get a 1619 error during the install_sibelius.exe bit. Both tested via the SCCM package and from a cmd prompt launched as "nt authority\system" using PSExec. It all works running as an interactive admin user. It later copies the sound files with a copy-item command. It executes the silent install command as provided by Avid.
I've created a PSAppdeploytoolkit wrapper script to install it via SCCM with a legacy package running from the DP.
I'd appreciate knowing if anybody has gotten this to work or how they work around the problem.
